James M. Deitch
Biographical Summary

James M. Deitch is co-founder, Chairman and CEO of American Home Bank, a national bank headquartered in Mountville, Lancaster County, PA. American Home Bank closed about $3 billion of mortgage loans since opening in August 2001, and specializes in new home construction/permanent and end loan financing. The Bank moved to new headquarters at 3840 Hempland Road, Mountville in June 2005. The Bank was named Central Pennsylvania's #1 Mortgage Lender by Central Pennsylvania Business Journal in April 2003, April 2004 and April 2005, as well as being named the Fastest Growing Bank in October 2003, October 2004 and October 2005.

Previously, Deitch was Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Keystone National Bank and Keystone Financial Mortgage Corporation, and Executive Vice President of Keystone Financial, Inc. He also served as Chief Credit Policy Officer of Keystone Financial Bank. He joined Keystone in 1993 by founding Keystone Financial Mortgage Corporation. Keystone National Bank and Keystone Financial Mortgage were subsidiaries of Keystone Financial, Inc., a publicly traded bank holding company with $7 billion in assets that was acquired by M&T Bank.

Prior to Keystone, he was President, CEO and a director of Parent Federal Savings Bank from 1988 through Parent Federal's acquisition by PNC Bank in October 1992. Mr. Deitch previously held managerial positions with International Signal & Control Group, Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., and Arthur Andersen & Company.

Mr. Deitch holds a Masters of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University, graduating with highest honors (1978). He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors from Lehigh University (1976) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

He is an active speaker; he has presented for American Management Association Operation Enterprise, the Mortgage Banker's Association of America, the Institute for International Research, TEC International, the Pennsylvania Land Title Association, and the Strategic Leadership Forum. He was a panelist for Chief Executive Magazine's 'Measuring Information Technology Investment' CEO Roundtable; A. T. Kearney's 'Mastering The Digital Marketplace CEO Roundtable'; United States Army War College 'National Security Week' as a civilian; Nortel Networks' 'Future First CEO Roundtable'; and the Duke University/Harvard University Schools of Business' joint conference 'Solving the Innovator's Dilemma'. He presented 'The Seven Lessons of Strategy' at the Strategic Planning International Forum in New York City as well as numerous other forums. He has published numerous articles, the most recent being "Creating Your Niche" in the National Mortgage Broker magazine, and co-authored "Framing a Strategy for Board Development" in Directors Monthly magazine.

He has served on the boards of directors of numerous corporations. In addition to current service on American Home Bank's board, he serves on the board of Flinchbaugh Engineering, Inc. and is a member of its audit committee.

He is a member of Financial Executives Institute, American Institute of CPAs, Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and Mortgage Bankers Association. He was Director of the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Banker's Association. He serves on the National Accounting Standards Committee of the Mortgage Banker's Association.

Mr. Deitch was the 2004 and 2005 chairman of the Junior Achievement Commonwealth Invitational Golf Tournament, and serves on the Millersville University Foundation. He is active in housing related non-profit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and Harb-Adult. He founded the Keystone Cares/Habitat for Humanity housing partnership (completing 10 Habitat homes in Pennsylvania and Maryland), and served as Vice-Chairman of Habitat for Humanity's Delaware Valley Capital Initiative. His other community service endeavors included Millersville University Board of Business Advisors, Southern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League, Lehigh University Annual Fund, Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation, and the Susquehanna Valley Center for Public Policy.

He lives in Springettsbury Township, York County, Pennsylvania with his wife, Judy. They have two adult children.
